Naomi Buckner has served on the Muscogee County Board of Education since 2003. Prior to running for the local board she worked in public education for 42 years as a teacher, lead teacher, mentor teacher, and Special Education Department Head. She has a BA in Philosophy from Wooster College and an MA in Specific Learning Disabilities from Columbus State University. She also serves on the boards of the S. P. Charleston Scholarship Fund, Historic Girl Scouts of Georgia, and Mt. Pilgrim Church.
