You are about to log in to the virtual 2020 GSBA GSSA Annual Conference and you may be a little nervous about this new way of learning…don’t be! While we know you look forward to interacting in person every fall, this guide will prepare you for an engaging experience with multiple opportunities to network and connect.
Be sure to reference the program for specific schedule and session information.
Accelevents is the platform that will host the virtual 2020 GSBA GSSA Annual Conference. Watch a quick tour to get a lay of the land. You can access the virtual platform here. To log in, use the email address that you are registered under or that is affiliated with your GSBA account. The password you enter the first time will be your password for the remainder of the event.
Join the event using a laptop or desktop computer. We do not recommend using a tablet.
Make sure you are using a compatible browser. Accelevents works best in the Google Chrome web browser. We do not recommend using Microsoft Edge or Safari. If you would like to make Google Chrome your default browser you can click below for instructions for a Mac or a PC. You will also want to make sure your browser is up-to-date and your internet or mobile hot spot is reliable. A minimum speed of 5 mbps is recommended. You can test your broadband speed here.
You will need headphones or built-in/external speakers to listen to all presentations.
Make sure you have the latest version of Zoom installed on your computer. You can download here.
Please be sure your district’s IT department allows Accelevents, Zoom, and Vimeo through the firewalls.
A webcam is not required but will allow others to see your smiling face during the networking sessions and for one-on-one chats at various times throughout the conference. We encourage you to use it for the most engaging experience possible.
