Propose a Position

2020 Proposed Official Association Positions  (Only one form is needed for each board of education)

Each local board of education is asked to determine if there are GSBA legislative positions that need to be amended, deleted or added and submit them online by April 19, 2019.  Boards should discuss and vote on each suggestion and submit only those that pass with the majority of the board’s approval. All proposed legislative positions will be presented to the GSBA Governmental Operations Committee (GOC) at its meeting on April 29, 2019.  The GOC will consider the proposals in finalizing its report and recommendations to the GSBA Delegate Assembly.  Delegates will vote on the GOC’s report during the business meeting of the Delegate Assembly on Friday, June 7, 2019, in Savannah, Georgia.

A copy of GSBA’s current standing positions can be found here.

** In order to be considered by the Delegate Assembly, proposals must be officially approved by the local board of education and be received at GSBA office by 9:00am, April 19, 2019.

Please Note: If your proposals are not received in time for GOC consideration, they may be submitted to the Delegate Assembly in accordance with Delegate Assembly rules in order to receive consideration.
